From municipality to stand-up comedy

 

 

After a long and secure full-time job as manager at

Eskilstuna municipality, Anna took courage and resigned

to pursue her dream. Stand-up comedy, poetry and

cultural activities were on the wish list of future

professional challenges.

- I had reached a point where I felt I was done.

Despite a good salary, nice colleagues, and sensible

tasks. I have never regretted my decision, even though

the new professional life was tough at the beginning.

I resigned during the pandemic, says Anna who three

years after her "switch".

- I am living my dream and describe myself as a writer

and entertainer and today I support myself mostly from

my business.

The reactions Anna received for her decision to make a

complete turnaround, a "switch" in the middle of life,

have only been positive.

- I get two different reactions, partly those who say that

I am brave.

The others express that they themselves would like to do the same.
